Rising from the Lower East Side of Manhattan, fighting their way through a playground of trust-funders with expensive haircuts and cheap sentiment, these are rock'n'roll men in a world of trendy boys. Some bands are about shoes - Actualities are about Issues, personal ones, laying down the stories of love, struggle, and redemption as real and raw as the biggest city itself. Shahar Mintz slings riffs and melodic hooks with rock star panache, Yuval Lion shakes the drum kit with power and finesse, Baba Buerger anchors it all with full-bodied bass.
