Why “ Rusychi ” is named so? Because glorious rusychies (rutheni) are our forefathers and we want to keep the character of the authentic music of our ancient people and to transfer their spirit to our time.

The aim of the “Rusychi” band’s creative formation is to popularize folk music and bring in wide listeners’ public the big volume of music work, which roots are in the middle and power of old ages. “Rusychi” are from ancient Ukrainian town Bilgorod-Dnistrovsky (Tira, Akkerman), one of the most ancient cities in the world (2500 y.o.).
We use the original Ukrainian melodies and polish up them in contemporary harmonies and rhythms, we try to combine music life of the Ukrainians pas together with a future.
Bright Ukrainian essays of mountains, steppes and sea music are mixed with rock, funk, punk, reggae...
Important things are original Ukrainian national instruments (variety of wood flutes - sopilka, ocarina, cane sopilka and others).
“Rusychi” are well-known all across Ukraine and abroad. Music group take part in many festivals in Poland, Belorussia and Moldova regularly. The members of the group took part in culture projects and representation of the Ukrainian culture in Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Romania, France, Great Britain. Now You can listen “Rusychi” ’s music not only at live concerts.
We try to create a positive example for creative youth which searches for itself and trusts in own forces. We are opened for new acquaintances, ideas and co-work with active people.

Dla czego wlasnie “ Rusyczi ”? Poniewaz jestesmy potomkami slawnych Rusyczów, pragniemy zachowac niepowtarzalnosc muzyki naszego dawnego narodu i przeniesc jej ducha w czasy wspólczesne.
Opierajac sie na oryginalnych ukrainskich melodiach, a takze dokonujac ich przeróbek na wspólczesne brzmienie, staramy sie odtworzyc muzyczny obraz zycia dawnej Ukrainy, pojednac kulturowa przeszlosc z przyszloscia.
Repertuar stanowia ballady oraz obrzedowe, jaskrawe instrumentalnie projekty muzyki gór, stepów i morza z wykorzystaniem m.in.elementów rock, funk, punk, reggae... Wykonujemy takze polskie piesni narodowe i piosenke autorska, spiewamy piesni Lemków.
Celem formacji „Rusycze” jest popularyzacja muzyki folkowej, przedstawienie sluchaczom ogromnego ladunku tresci i emocji jaki niesie ze soba muzyka siegajaca swoimi korzeniami glebokiej, bogatej przeszlosci. Podstawe naszego repertuaru stanowi muzyka dawna z elementami dzisiejszych rytmów i harmonii. Jest to nasz skromny wklad w sztuke muzyki wspólczesnej.
Zespól bierze udzial w rozmaitych imprezach artystycznych, akcjach charytatywnych, wymianach, wystawach artystycznych, projektach edukacyjnych, festiwalach, koncertach, dniach muzyki folkowej. W ramach podobnych akcji wykonawcy naszego zespolu uczestniczyli jako reprezentancji folkloru ukrainskiego w Polsce, Niemczech, Bulgarii, Francji, Wielkiej Brytanii.
Staramy sie stworzyc pozytywny przyklad dla kreatywnej mlodziezy, która poszukuje wlasnego „ja”, która wierzy we wlasne sily. Jestesmy otwarci na nowe kontakty, idee wspólpracy z aktywnymi dzialaczami.
