overesteem men and people become powerless. overvalue possessions and people begin to steal. empty your mind and fill your core. weaken your ambition and toughen your resolve. lose everything you know and everything you desire and ignore those who say they know. practice not wanting, desiring, judging, doing, fighting, knowing. practice just being. everything will fall into place.
let things come and let things go, and live without posession and live without expectation. do not need, create, define or depend. Do not see beauty or ugliness, or good or bad. there just is. just be.
stay behind and get ahead. detach and become. let go of all and you will be full.
keep thinking to simple, in conflict be fair. don't compare or compete, simply be yourself. fill your bowl to the brim and it will spill, keep sharpening your knife and it will dull. chase after money and your heart will never unclench. care about what other people think and you will always be their prisoner.
if you want to shrink something, you must first expand it. if you want to get rid of something, you must first allow it to flourish. if you want to take something, you must allow it to be given. the soft will overcome the hard. the slow will beat the fast. dont tell people the way, just show them the results.
if you understand that all things change constantly, there is nothing you will hold on to, all things change. if you arent afraid of dying, there is nothing you can't do. thrying to control the future is like trying to take the place of the Master Carpenter. when you handle his tools, chancer are that you'll cut your hand.

if you close your mind in judgements and traffic in desire your heart will be troubled. if you keep your mind from judging and aren't led by the senses, your heart will find peace. close your mouth, block your senses, blunt your sharpness. if you want to know the world, look inside your heart. if you want to know yourself, look inside your heart.
if you look to others for fulfillment, you will never be fulfilled. if your happiness depends on money, you will never be happy. be content with what you have and take joy in the way things are. when you realize you have all you need, the world belongs to you.
