DAE-TWA a.k.a D-TROITT, grew up in the treacherous streets of the Motor City. He was raised in the church by day and in the drug game at night. His mother was one of the biggest drug dealers in the city during the 1980s and his dad was a preacher at Famous Hill Baptist church on Detroit’s west side. Disturbed by his mom and dad’s divorce and after seeing his mother badly beaten by the neighborhood police, D-TROITT quickly turned to the Old G’s for advice and guidance which had exposed him to sex, money, guns, and drugs at a very young age. During his years in high school, He skipped class on several occasions and when he did attend school, he would only go just to sell drugs or battle others at rapping in the hallways and cafeteria. After being permanently kicked out of all public schools due to violence and gang activity, D-TROITT began to vent his frustration out through his music. He’s now strapped with lyrics that could move any crowd, ready to take the industry by storm, and determined to achieve all of his dreams, he states “I eat music, it’s in my veins, and I won’t stop until I reach the top and when given the opportunity, everyone will see and feel the spirit of perseverance, consistency, tenacity, and boldness that I carry within. I’m not afraid to ask for help along the way from professionals who know what they are doing. I’m constantly thinking about not only how to get a record deal, but also how I can make a career as a musician, songwriter, and entrepreneurâ€. And there you have it....
