About Me

Current Mood : Chillen Like a Villian~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Currently listening to : Urban Jungle mixed by Aphrodite~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Time : 4:20~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Age : Old Enough to Know Better!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Intro] First off Praise be to Jah! Why? Because he is always worthy of our praise, he has been keeping me happy for over 39 years to this day! As well Big UP to all my Myspace friends out there, the ones I have performed with, the ones I have partied with, hung out with, and chilled with: Mad Respect to you all! And to all the people I have yet to meet in person and get to really know, its just a matter of time and I look forward to the chance when I get to hang out with you. I am glad to know all of you. Respect! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Bio]~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~I am a 39yr. old male of mixed heritage. Originally born in Jamaica I was adopted in 1970 and grew up in Rochester, New York. [And Yes - I am an Upstate New York kid through and through. Word is Bond!] O.K., I came into the scene off of Dead Tour back in the early 90s when things were just starting to really pop off and you were probably still in diapers (i.e. Sputnik, NASA, and James Brown is Dead)! I started DJing under my real name Black Peter in 1993 and with a party called BASIC in Ithaca, New York - ZONEproductions was born in 1994. For nearly a decade, as the driving force behind ZONEproductions I threw numerous themed events (School Zone 1 & 2, Houseboat, Good Times, I got fives on it, Verve, Roll w/it, etc, etc, etc.) both independently or in conjunction with other Upstate companies in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Binghamton, as well as in Toronto, Canada (Big up the T. Dot always keepin it proper)! In 1997, while I was the manager of *Republica* nightclub in Ithaca, New York I had an ephipany!! After months of contracting many emcees to perform at my club I decided fuck this! I can do the same shit myself, so why am I paying all these people? So I bought a wireless mic system and MYSTERY MC was born. As MC MYSTERY?? I played with practically everyone all across the northeast and Canada big up to all selectahs keeping it proper - mad good times, mad stories, It has always been my pleasure! I threw my last ZONEproductions event In Ithaca on February 22nd , 2002. A two room dnb jammy called Desire featuring T-dot bad boys Ryan Ruckus and Diligence from Hustlin Beats along with Everfresh in the main room, while Code-D, E-wun, and Awake (to name a few) represented for the Roc City in the DnB Dungeon. At this point in time I wanted to concentrate solely on my other production crews the Foot Souljahs and Beat Down Cru and performing live! I have encountered many new styles of music over the years and with the immense popularity for Dirty - Down South beats, the insurgence of Dancehall in the States, and especially Grime (yeah, bring it on). I thought it was time for a change of character. So after years of performing as MC MYSTERY?? On New Years of 2004/2005 I brought in the 365 over Soul Slinger in Auburn, NY and MICSOULJAH was born! Then in February I packed up a few of my belongings and moved to the City of Brotherly Love where I immediately met some dope ass peeps! In March of last year I joined forces with Phillys Foundation Kru (Overfiend, DJ Hidro, Miss Behave, DP, K.I.M., B-ki, Hi-IQ, and Dirty Work). On May 1st, 2005 I threw my second event in Phillidelphia. A two-floor house filler called Mayday along with the help of my new business partner Justin Ackerman (High-IQ). Through this venture, Phillys Bassline Entertainment was born in June. On July 27th, 05 We started a short-lived monthly DnB mash-down in conjunction with Beat Down Cru at Dreemz Nightclub called On Loc. Currently Bassline Entertainment handles both Promotions and event Production as well as Multi-media design through the independent collaboration of Artificer design and multi-media headed by Justin Ackerman ([email protected]) For more information on current Bassline events hit us directly at: [email protected] for the full updated dillio <><><><><><><>< ><><> LOCK 42!! Selector Ganix, Risen, etc. whatever this man goes by - he tears it up! Originally a hardstep-tech master, this man has been in the studio with a new mission: to make tracks that will get you mashed-up! (This will only add to his already massive arsenal). Together we team up for a number of gigs throughout May-June 2010 in and around Upstate, etc. Look for smooth mixing, heavy beats, and rapid-fire lyrics that will get you hyped on the dancefloor! <><><><><><><>< ><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><>> <><><><><><> At this point in time I have been spending the fall/winter season feverishly in the studio working on a bunch of different projects. In the months to come look for a few tracks to come out in collaboration with Phillys Grime king DEV79 & Starkey on SlitJockey Records. For the full dilly on that check out http://www.seclusiasis.com Oh and check this sh!t out for your listening pleasure http://www.seclusiasis.com/slitjockey/mixtape/sjmx001oneshee t.html A short joint of lyrical manipulation with Sharpness from Phillys Mental Sharp is ready to be warmed up on the stove, as well - a full length grime/dancehall album produced by DOC STRANGE/ZOMBIE [nigga, you don't even know] will be out by summer (10')! The new nastiness I gaurantee you havent seen or heard before I claim SUPREMEMCEE!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Currently Listening to : {Know 51} DJ RAWKISS (Digital Justice)~~~~~~~~~ {Outtro}~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alright let me take this moment to say this - through the years I have met many many cool cats. But we all know, with the good comes the bad. I am down with almost everyone I meet and even more with those I have shared the stage with. But we must remember that its all about the scene and the kids who make it. Because if their wasnt a scene their would be nothing for us to play at and worse play too. So big up to all the kids still coming out, having a great time, and listening to us - long after half of us are jaded! The scene is for all people! Enjoy going out - no matter who you are or what your style is! Just have a great time and dance like no one is watching . But please always remember to be safe and smart! We all hate being on the wrong side of the po-po (even if you dont know it yet)! Anyways, Peace and Respect to all Brethren and especially to all lovely ladies. I am an Old School MC with A New Skool Flavor. MICSOULJAH The Original Bad Bwoy OG MC Believe Dat!! I have been here since the beginning and I am just getting started! I Have Risen, Hear My Voice: MICSOULJAH *********** Loved, Hated, Respected NUFF SAID!!!
