Before coming to the electronic music scene back in 2005 (which isn't so long ago :P), Egor (Cain's real name, by the way) never even thought he'd be doing something music-related. But as a man who is driven by feelings and sudden changes, as a man who likes to try anything new he just went and bought a pair of decks and a mixer; and as it later turned out it wasn't a bad idea!
Almost immediately he gets a spot as a resident in one of the local nightclubs, which was slowly "falling apart" at that time, but still had it's share of public. Quickly Cain begins to develop his own style, which is considered unique by many. By mixing down extraordinary sounds of electro, techno, house and some hardstyle elements he finds his devoted audience.
Unfortunately, the club he worked at had to close by the end of 2006, leaving Cain on his own just to understand that spinning someone else's music wasn't enough for him. He wanted to bring his own sounds to the public, and not just something produced by someone else, no matter how good it was.
That's when a friend of his, who was actually into a band music, offered Cain to teach him some production tips and tricks using home studio and a computer with some sequencing software, and even though it wasn't the easiest way to begin Archer did not step back and started to master it.
"One should always look for the ways to improve himself" - says Cain.
And so, Cain has been producing up to this point. He purchased Ableton Live! software, as he thinks it holds a future for the DJ/Producers, and setup his own little studio, where he creates unique and fresh sounding music.
Cain considers himself to be an underground DJ/Producer.
"I'm not into popular music, even though I have nothing against it. It's a pity how many good underground or bootleg tunes got "popularized" by the radio. I'd rather prefer my music never got out of the night clubs".
Some people often criticize him for "making music for the legs", saying it actually has no soul.
"I must point this as incorrect" - he replies. "There is nothing more soulful than crowd going crazy hearing my sounds. Besides, our legs have no less soul than any other part of our body".
