Just an old fashion love song...Someone found Towianski on the street, with a dog jumping up on him and covering him in mud. That person asked Towianski why he tolerated this from the dog.Towianski replies:

We ought, both to lighten the condition of animals, whenever we can, and at the same time, to facilitate in ourselves that union of the world of all spirits..."09-08-08 - Just played a show at Arlene's Grocery and had a good time. Had some learning experiences and feel all the more better for the experience. Our new drummer (a guitar player turned drummer) noticed the club drums had no cymbals. Rick remembered the email saying so, but our drummer Albert did have gear. So Nouri busted feet up to Funkadelic that place we rehearse and rented a set up for $50. This ran us over out time and blaa blaa, but it was all good. We got jamming and due to our lack of experience never really said anything to the sound guy. I had a long cord and the place was small so I wandered out into the audience to give a listen - couldn't hear the lead guitar for shit. But the chording sounded good, leads just couldn't be heard. If you listen to our myspace demo (which need to be updated this fall) you can hear how jam based we are. So for us not having any jams was sorta odd - but that's the learning part. When Nouri saved the day with the bag of cymbals - he had no idea what the what sound guy advised - "Make the guitars more mid end and quieter". I did this with no question to my set up and Nouri's. Nouri was on stage and thinking my amp isn't loud enough. So he cranked it, I cranked mine out of pure frustration as well. This was of no help - the amps only weren't so loud (50 watts) - we play 100 watt amps at level 10 when we rehearse. Perhaps we need to practice at a lower volume? The amps sound better cranked - for sure! But the room was small... The best part of the gig was talking to people after. This cool girl was telling me to dress in pants not shorts and talk tot eh audience more - say the band name at the beginning and end of the show. I was just reading today that you have to have over 100 transactions with an alien world to even begin to understand each other. So imagine a bands audience - you know this is how you learn. I hope we get the chance to do it all over again and pull out some more tunes next time - acutely start playing on and in time! Jasen
