Artiste , Dj, composer, Mathieu Clé draws one’s inspiration with all around him. Quickly rock by the black music from Detroit or Chicago and influenced by some Djs like Derrick May, Moodymann, Akufen... In 1998, he buy his first turntables and spend all his time to buy some discs to training his mix in pleasure and perfection. A few times pass and he has already a few dates in places as many as underground or urbane where his sets impress by their originality and energetic music.
In Saint-Etienne at the Illy, at the Snug, at the Pop, as at the Must then at the Pouchkin where he was in live on a local radio station. In Lyon, at the Box Office as much as at the Space with Tom Pooks and Joy Kiticonti. In Paris at the Wax, at the World Café, at the Tropic and then at the Depot. In 2004 Mathieu Clé win the DJ contest ahead of 300 contestants for the BIENNAL DU DESIGN in Saint-Etienne. As a result, he mixes in front of 2000 persons at the “Palais des spectacles” with DJs Steve Angello, Antoine Clamaran, Benny Benassi, Tom Pooks, Rykkk’s, Charly B. A few time after that, he move in Toulouse. Then follow 3 regular hosts. At the Classico, at the Mix and at the Ibiza after club. Events the 30th of June 2006, he mixes in Lyon pour the ELECTRICITY evening with Sebastien Leger and Monika Kruze. Summer 2007 the Safari beach club in Seignosse open his door to him. Mathieu Clé clearly fined the right keyhole. September 2007 he flies off to live in New-York. Regular host at the “Enfants terribles” one of the more famous French pub in the center of the big apple. He comes into regular contact with artists like Gene Farris, John Tejada, Stacey Pullen, Sleepy&Boo, DJ Sneak… He’ll learn here how to improve each details of his mix in a grandiose. In 2009, he creates the evening concept calls “Cocktail et Canape”. He records and brings out the first best of volume 1 and then organizes a live evening at the “HUIT” in Montpellier.
To serve hot or cold, to enjoy with friends or in the strictest privacy… With theses sort of ingredients, it doesn’t matter the mixing, this young artist with tasting and intoxicating vibrancies will lead you in an ecstasy bubble… Like every DJ in order to set his artistic qualities the production is one of the infallible finality. Rapidement bercé par la black music de Detroit ou de Chicago, il sera influencé par des Dj tels que Derrick May, Moodymann, Akufen ... En 1998, il achète ses premières platines et passe son temps à dénicher des disques afin de travailler ses mixes dans une optique de plaisir et de perfection. Peu de temps s'écoule et déjà quelques dates dans des lieux autant undergrounds que mondains où ses sets surprennent par l'originalité des musiques et l'énergie qu'il dégage.
A Saint-Etienne, au ILLY, au SNUG, au POP, ainsi qu’au MUST puis au POUCHKIN où il était en live sur une radio locale . A Lyon, au BOX OFFICE, tout comme au SPACE avec Tom Pooks et Joy Kiticonti. A Paris, au WAX, au WORLD CAFÉ, au TROPIC ainsi qu’au DEPOT...En 2004, Mathieu Clé remporte le concours DJ devant 300 candidats dans le cadre de la BIENNALE DU DESIGN à Saint-Etienne. Résultat, il mixe devant 2000 personnes au Palais des Spectacles avec les DJS Steve Angello, Antoine Clamaran, Benny Benassi, Tom Pooks, Rykkk's, Charly B. Peu de temps après, il s'installe à Toulouse. Puis suivent trois résidences, au CLASSICO, au MIX ainsi qu’à l'IBIZA AFTER CLUB. Evènement le 3O JUIN 2006 ! Il mixe à Lyon pour la soirée ELECTICITY en compagnie de Sébastien Léger et Monika Kruze. Eté 2007, le SAFARI Beach club, à Seignosse, lui ouvre ses portes. Mathieu Clé a bel et bien trouvé la bonne serrure. Septembre 2007, il s'envole pour partir vivre à New York. Résident aux ENFANTS TERRIBLES , bar français des plus réputés de la grosse pomme . Il côtoie des artistes tels que Gene Farris, John Tejada, Stacey Pullen, Sleepy&Boo , DJ Sneak ... C'est là qu’il apprendra comment améliorer chaque détails de son mix. En 2009, il crée le concept de soirée nommé Cocktail et Canapé . Il enregistre et sort la compilation volume 1 puis organise la soirée en live au HUIT, à Montpellier.
A servir chaud, ou froid, , à déguster entre amis ou l’intimité la plus extrême… Avec de tels ingrédients, peu importe le mélange , cet artiste aux sonorités gouteuses et enivrantes, vous entrainera dans une bulle d’extase…Comme tout DJ pour asseoir ses qualités artistiques, la production est une finalité infaillible. Son travail reste donc à suivre pour d'autres sorties...
