I fear that I am ordinary just like everyone.
My biggest failing is in not allowing myself to succeed. And everything else.I fear that I am ordinary just like everyone.
My biggest failing is in not allowing myself to succeed. And everything else.Yoga is getting to be my obsession of the moment. I'm not Mr. Bendable yet, but so far its really centering my chi, whatever that means.
My biggest interest is finding a greater sense of contentment and - for lack of a better term - spiritual enlightenment. This still means that my primary interests to date consist of sex, partying, and bohemian hedonism. Though philosophically, there is nothing concrete that says these pursuits aren’t the answer to life’s greatest mysteries, I’m not betting on it.
Beyond that, I enjoy insightful conversation, writing, innovating, creating, collaborating. I still go to lots of live music, cool events, stuff that’s offbeat. I love art – my favorites are Banksy, Ryden, Warhol, Baseman, Geiger, Dzama, Fairey, and a million other artists who make me think or appreciate the world because of what they convey to other’s eyes.
Other interests: thrift store shopping and garage sale picking, adventures in the surreal, philosophy, economics and eventually devising a neo-economic manifesto synthesizing capitalism with syndicalism and socialism, clubbing, trips to Mexico, devising get rich quick schemes, deep sea fishing, being kink, time travel (can’t say I’ve done it, but it would be a hobby of mine if it were possible – as geeky as that sounds), movies, poker, college football, making out, slamming Republicans with facts on why Bush might be our worst President ever, snowboarding, feeling smart for recognizing pallindromes.
I'd like to meet Jesus, because I'm sure he partied a lot harder than Utah gives him credit.
Beyond that - good friends - but you have to fight in a cage match against my current good friends to prove your mettle before joining the elite group.
And possibly someone to love me for the many times I don't love myself.Music has always been important to me. I was in utero in the studio for ELO's "A New World Record;" and since, I have always had that distant appreciation of music.
I don't play an instrument because I put down the guitar when I saw first hand the exploitation that my then idols Brotherhood Creed suffered at the hands of MCA records and Gasoline Alley Music in 1990.
My parents own what may be the longest continuously operating wholly indie label. Its in its 25th year of existence and had the number one jazz album on the R&R charts for 2005. I worked for the family business and signed Get Set Go. They're on their second album and have received rave reviews.
Here's a list of what I listen to: Joy Division, Nirvana (basically a disproportionate number of bands where the lead singer killed himself) The Strokes, Scissor Sisters, The Cure, White Stripes, Foo Fighters, Modest Mouse, The Killers, Nine Inch Nails, Pixies, Nada Surf, Kraftwerk, Ladytron, Marilyn Manson, Weezer, Outkast, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Ice Cube, Herb Alpert, Dave Brubek, Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles, Michael Jackson, Lionel Ritchie, Led Zepplin, The Who, The Shins, Nico, Velvet Underground, No Doubt, Blur, Low Fidelity All-Stars, Thievery Corporation, James Brown, Kool and the Gang, Queen, Ben Folds, Duran Duran, Souixie and the Banshees, Bauhaus, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jane's Addiction, Gwen Stefani, Sneaker Pimps, Sublime, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, Postal Service, Snow Patrol, Polyphonic Spree, etc.

ADULT SWIM, Entourage. All the shows I've worked on or creative minds I know work on. Really, I just love seeing that a show involved a creative passion and not merely staff writers, actors, and directors phoning it in for a paycheck.Simpsons - even phoned in every episode 15 years later, still watch it. Family Guy. Music Videos.
My favorite is pulp non-fiction like conspiracy theories and bizarre phenomena books... I wish I could say more great literature but I have an attention span of a gnat. I also read lots of plays and politics, philosophy, economics books and the occasional novel. Other Books: Lies and the Lying Liars who Tell Them by Al Franken, Dr. Seuss, Hardball by Chris Matthews, The Onion Our Dumb Century, Nietzsche's Will to Power, Hunter S. Thompson's ramblings, Alan Ginsberg poetry, Chomsky, Far Side Books, etc.
Anyone who succeeds in making a marriage last a lifetime (and not just in law). Its a simple but commendable heroism. For that matter, anyone who succeeds in parenting.
Hugh Hefner for still rocking out well into old age (though its starting to get kinda scary right about now) He is one of the greatest journalists and social revolutionaries in the last 100 years.
Bill Clinton. Nuff said.
Winston Churchill for being one of the most functional alcoholics of our century by leading the British to victory in WWII on a steady diet of hard-A and nicotine then proving critics wrong by living till he was 90.
My parents. I still don't know how they did it.
