People, please let me alone, please!

About Me

Idol worshipper and daydreamer. I'm really into pop culture, things that most people find lame, and I am currently saving money for something frivolous. Favorites: London, Chicago, chocolate, appetizers, wine, hard cider, making things (anything), and cheap vintage clothing Non faves: gross couples, people who get the lyrics wrong to the chorus of 'I Am The Walrus', people who know too little and talk too much, and bad drivers. I am a child trapped in a small adult's body, but the inner child has an old soul. I've low tolerance for things I dislike and love things that are classified by such adjectives as, "awesome," "amazing," and "fantastic." I have my hands in many pots, and it is my goal to make all of my interests, my career. I laugh a healthy amount and take daily dance breaks. My passport expires in 2013. I have more stamps to collect. My coworkers either love me or...http://caseysheadonstuff.blogspot.com/"What's worse, after all, a dream that never comes true or never admitting you dream at all?"--Hollis GillespieI've been on TV before. Oprah and I are friends.

Softkey Left softkey Right ..

I'd like to meet:

kind, funny, witty, and dorky people...a robot...anyone with a time machine. I don't want to meet people who find it essential to prove their intelligence to impress others, or people who lack the ability to be open-minded, or the Jolie-Pitts.

Music:

Love affairs with The Beatles, Journey, David Bowie, Queen, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, The B-52's, most classic rock, old school hip hop, and greatness from that fantastic decade called the 80's...and Flight of the Conchords (And I liked them BEFORE most of you jumped on the bandwagon and made them legitimate rockstars). Only a small handful of artists and bands from this day and time have earned my respect and fandom. I love the Ditty Bops.

Movies:

Yes, please. My filtering process is minimal.

Television:

I love television. If you don't like it, so be it. But don't be a snob about it. Can't we all be brothers? This was pretty much the best damn show on television once: Let's list shows now: Lost, um...Laverne and Shirley, Northern Exposure, That 70's Show before Ashton Kutcher became 'the coolest dude in the room', The Young Ones, Ab Fab, Little Britain, The State, Reno 911, Northern Exposure, um...Roseanne? Anything with puppets so...The Muppets, some reality TV. The TV is almost always on and you can judge me by that all you want, but television has made me cool

Books:

I must admit that television shows on DVD and involving myself in the theatre world has cut into my book reading habit. In the past my list of loves included, but was not limited to...The Bell Jar, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Time Traveler's Wife, The Lord of the Rings, The His Dark Materials series, David Sedaris (all), Bleachy-Haired Honky Bitch by Hollis Gillespie, John by Cynthia Lennon (though I question its merit), a series about a certain boy wizard who went on to do great things, mad libs, photo albums, scrap and coloring books.

Heroes:

He or she who took the first seed from the cacao tree fashioned it into chocolate and said, "Hey, let's eat this!", Mister Neville Longbottom, the inventor of Sour Patch Kids, Amy Sedaris, J.K. Rowling, Gilda Radner, Tina Fey, Hollis Gillespie, Luna Lovegood, and Batman. My grandmotherAnd this man...

It was just THAT day

It all started with a bowl. I was moving things around in the kitchen to make room for this bowl and, in the process, I wedged/rammed my finger onto the corner of the island, causing bleeding and shou...

Here is some stuff that may amuse

It’s hip to be green

This morning on my commute to work, I saw two bumper stickers that disturbed me. They were on the same vehicle. The first one read: Hippie Chicks Rule. I pulled up beside the car and noticed the drive...
