Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, Beau Redding, now resident in NZ, has put together a laudable album of contemporary country rock/pop with the release of 'Dime Box'. Redding displays a maturity of songwriting with great lyrics, catchy choruses and hooks throughout. The arrangements are intelligent and uncluttered (featuring Dominic Blaazer of Smoothy on Hammond organ and Ben King of Golden Horse on guitar), although still creating a full sound. Produced by Nick Abbott, recorded at York Street, the production quality is great and the songs are diverse enough to keep your attention throughout the whole album, still with a common thread. If you ever get the chance to catch Beau Redding live, it is well worth the effort. Great songs, great musicianship, great production!
