Soul Embraced have posted the following update: "Hello everyone this is Rocky. I wanted to let everyone know about some changes going on in the Soul Embraced camp. I want to dedicate my guitar playing to Living Sacrifice and make our new record the best record we’ve ever done. To do that I need to focus on LS and LS alone as far as my guitar playing goes. I wanted to end my guitar playing for SE on a high note, like a boxer retiring as a champion and I believe I’m doing just that because to me Immune and Dead Alive are highlights in this area of my carreer and I’m very proud of everything we accomplished. Lance Garvin will be dedicating all of his efforts to Living Sacrifice as well so in his place I will be playing drums for Soul Embraced so Chad, Devin and Jeff can continue on and start working on a new record. Soul Embraced is NOT breaking up, just changing. It may be the final chapter for Lance and I in one way but in another way it is the first page of a brand new book. I’m excited to see what happens. To be continued… BOOM! - Rock, Chad, Lance, Devin and Jeff" (10/15)

Looks like there going to be an issue that will prevent the shipping of Underoath's Deluxe Box Set of "Lost In The Sound Of Separation". The band posted this message: "Unfortunately, due to issues beyond Underoath’s control, there has been a manufacturing delay in the production of the deluxe box and they will be shipped later than we were told by T&N and their manufacturer. We are angry and upset that this is happening to our fans especially considering how much money everyone spent to buy it! It looks like it will be as long as 4 weeks until we all get our copies.I know this doesn’t replace the box but we asked Tooth & Nail to create a system to send a digital copy of the record to everyone that pre ordered it. If you pre orderd the record from Interpunk, Zambooie, Smartpunk or Underoathmerch you will get an e mail Monday AM with a link to download the record immediately, 1 day before its available to the general public. We know that’s not the greatest short term replacement but at least you get the record a day before everyone else. If you pre orderd from Amazon or any other company we’re still not sure what is happening but were trying to get you digital copies as well.Thank you for your patience. In the meantime, please enjoy the digital version of “Lost In The Sound Of Separation.” Many hours went into the conceptualization and design of the Deluxe Limited Edition Boxset, so we assure you that it will be well worth the wait. We will ship your copy just as soon as they are available." (9/1)

The latest Underoath press release is below
"As the final notes ring out on LOST IN THE SOUND OF SEPARATION, it's clear that UNDEROATH--who've built their career on being both heavy and experimental--have delivered their most accomplished album to date. Succinct and resolute, there's no denying the power of LOST IN THE SOUND OF SEPARATION, due out September 2 on Tooth & Nail/Solid State as the follow-up to 2006's rapturously received and gold-certified Define The Great Line. Now headlining the Hot Topic stage of the Mayhem Tour, UNDEROATH perform daily from 6:25-7:00pm at the festival, joining hard music heavyweights Slipknot, Disturbed, Mastodon and Dragonforce, among others. During days off from the Mayhem tour, UNDEROATH will play a series of headlining dates with The Red Chord supporting. Next, in early September, UNDEROATH will headline an eight-city U.K. trek, to be followed by dates in Germany, Italy, South Africa and Australia. In October and November, look for UNDEROATH to return to the U.S. for a major headlining run--kicking off at Honolulu's Pipeline Café (3,000 cap) on October 4--before touring Central and South America. UNDEROATH--whose last three albums count combined sales in excess of one million copies--have worked diligently to reach this creative apex while building what may be the biggest metalcore following in the world. "Breathing In A New Mentality" launches the new record with an ingenious false start that gives way to innovative ferocity. "We wanted people to hear it and have a first impression like, 'Man they must've cut a lot of corners,'" says guitarist MCTAGUE of the disc-opener. "And then it kicks in and your entire car, blows up. We wanted to come out, blow them away. Just shut people up. And in doing that, we've made the beginning of the record very memorable." Beyond exceptional, it's a breathtaking brain-rattling affirmation that the six men of Tampa, FL-based UNDEROATH--lead vocalist SPENCER CHAMBERLAIN, guitarist TIM MCTAGUE, bassist GRANT BRANDELL, drummer AARON GILLESPIE, keyboardist CHRIS DUDLEY and guitarist JAMES SMITH--have taken a huge creative step forward. The group recently shot a video for the scathing "Desperate Times, Desperate Measures" with director Walter Robot (Milosh "The City," Modest Mouse "Missed the Boat," The Pinkertones "Sexy Robot") in Los Angeles. Expect more news about the clip soon. By trusting their instincts, pushing their songcraft to the limit and meticulously perfecting it with Adam Dutkiewicz (Killswitch Engage) and Matt Goldman (Copeland, The Chariot), the band has soared to new artistic heights with LOST IN THE SOUND OF SEPARATION. "The Created Void" offers a melodic reprieve. "Naturally we are a heavy band and we want to put our best foot forward in that respect, MCTAGUE says. "I love 'The Created Void,' one of the most melodic songs we've ever done, the bottom line is everything sounds the way it does on the record because we agreed that's how it should sound, whether it's heavy or melodic." "We've had to work hard at being open-minded about our own art and let it flow naturally", MCTAGUE continues. "We love melodies, but our instincts usually go in the other direction." Defying the band's traditional approach, the uplifting "Too Bright To See, Too Loud To Hear" is a beautiful near ballad lighter destined to become a fan favorite. "I originally wrote the music without intending for it to be a quote-unquote accessible song," MCTAGUE says of the memorable soundscape. "It was a slow-paced, slowed- down jam-out song." With such a diverse musical display coupled with the input of six opinionated souls, the completion of LOST IN THE SOUND OF SEPARATION--thanks in part to the skilled mixing of veteran David Bendeth--is an epic achievement. "We laboriously toiled over this record," GILLESPIE admits. "Even when we're in the studio, I don't think we are all ever totally happy. There is constant change and flux until we're done. We always push ourselves to make the best music imaginable." (7/16)

Twelve Gauge Valentine have apparently decided to keep going. They posted the following message, "Okay so first off this may seem as though we decided to break up and then decided against it or some other agenda may be at hand.. wrong. We, the current line-up that has been TGV for the past 2 years never once decided to quit playing music EVER. The entire idea and approach was once we started writing new material as this new band we realized it was coming along as nothing similar to anything TGV had done. So we made the decision with some others that pushed us along on the idea..that we should change our name and create a new image for ourselves within the new sound.Well we have been writing ever since the final TGV tour back in December we have 8 songs finished and a few more nearly there, drawing influences from bands we grew up listening to in the hardcore genre and others as well. It’s more so what we’ve always enjoyed as individuals and it seems to fit us all as a band very well. I know I speak for the entire band in saying it is the best music we’ve ever been a part of ias individuals and we’re very excited about getting it out to everyone. This time it’s something we hold very personal and not just something to play simply to be playing. We are taking our time to get it all together at the best of our abillity and making sure we are fully satisfied with it before we decide to put it out there.Lately a lot of stuff has changed for us in our plans and we’ve made some decisions for the future of the band that will be a great new step for us we feel. I just felt it was way past time to explain our moves and ideas as a band. So in actuality TGV has never ceased we’re still the same group and still writing music to tour on and release. We’re just trying to reach a more mature sound that will be a bit different than TGV. Keep in mind we all loved TGV and everything created within it.. it’s just simply time to take on something new. We really hope you guys can get into it and get as excited as we are about the new music and future of the band!On a final note we’re still debating ideas on the name we may continue on as TGV we may approach this all under a new name.. still not sure on that. We have been doing some rough demos for us to hear and better our music lately but within the next couple of months we plan to get a few songs recorded and up for everyone to hear! Please keep watch because we are FAR from done playing music at this point.. Thank you to everyone who still reads this and keeps up with what we are doing here.- Twelve Gauge Valentine" (6/17)
