Jeremy Blietz is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter who recently completed his first full-length album of original songs titled ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES. He also performs on regular basis in and around Los Angeles area.
Jeremy’s passion for songwriting evolved out of his love for music that he discovered at a young age. At the age of 14 Jeremy began studying guitar at the Player’s Bench music store near his hometown of McHenry, Illinois. Under the guidance of local music teacher, George Bolger, Jeremy studied jazz as well as classical guitar and piano. Jeremy grew up surrounded with music, with his mom exposing him to heavy doses of Elvis Presley, while his dad introduced him to rock-and-roll classics by Jimmy Hendrix and The Doors. While in high school, Jeremy played in jazz bands with his twin brother Scott, performed in local musicals and at high school events.
After graduating from high school, Jeremy attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where he focused on performance and songwriting. While at Berklee, Jeremy played in several bands and won a poetry award in the Berklee Literary Competition.
Since relocating to Los Angeles, Jeremy has continued to write and perform songs as well as collaborating with other Los Angeles-area songwriters .
