Plague the Suffering was formed in 2003 by founding members Barry Dail and Rob Dillard. Shortly after the start of the band, Plague was joined by drummer Tom Nelson and bassist Jerry Coleman. In the beginning the vocals were handled by singer Dave Ripley but due to personal reasons he is no longer with the band. The vocals are now being handled by Beaten Back to Pure vocalist Ben Hogg. Ben has recently become a permanent member of the band. Plague welcomes him to the line-up in hopes of conquering many thrones.
With the influences of bands like Dissection, Slayer, and Crowbar, Plague the Suffering is a crushing mass of classical death and melodic thrash. The nightmarish harmonies of guitarists Barry and Rob, the hellbound tone of bassist Jerry, the sonic machine gun sounds of new drummer Michael Wagner, and the ghoulish, guttering, growls of vocalist Ben, allows them to destroy and dominate anything in their path of metal rage.
As the vultures slowly circle will be released in the fall of 2005.
