He has played in several popular blues bands over the years, most recently Jimmy Peyton's Midnite Blues , Big Pete Pearson's Blues Band , and Hans Olson Band. These associations have afforded Mike the opportunity to play with some artists of note, such as Carey Bell, Nappy Brown, Joe Houston, Guitar Shorty, Dave Riley, Lazy Lester, Steve Guyger and Johnny Dyer. Mike has been looking to expand his horizons deeper into the roots of American popular music, to include seminal styles of country, rock, and rockabilly. The Jump Back Brothers provide the perfect vehicle to express his interpretations of these classic sounds. Mike has drawn inspiration from all the great artists of American roots music, and especially appreciates all the wonderful local musicians who have all been so influential and supportive over the years, and most of all his lovely wife Aleida, 1 fan, booster and confidant.
