David Rail, Jr.

About Me

David was born to David Sr. and Janet Rail in Montana on October 14th, 1968. He is the oldest of six children. David spent most of his growing up years in Provo, Utah but did reside in Germany twice and England once.He served his mission in the Germany – Hamburg mission and returned home and attended BYU where he studied music.David has always had a talent for music. He began playing long before he can even remember. David’s uncle asked him once to play the Fiddler On The Roof music, like he did before he moved to Germany. David was seven the first time he moved to Germany. He took piano lessons from Stephanie Russell Perssons. She set the foundation for what David would do in the future. David also had good music instructors including Paul Swan, Howard Johnson and Jan Dettlaff at the Frankfurt International School in Germany.David has brought together a unique approach to arranging hymns for piano. By bringing together multiple hymns in each arrangement if gives variety and strengthens the message of each arrangement. In performances David tries to bring the audience into the performance by having them interact in their listening. By actively listening, the message is made even stronger. This is done by thinking the words of the familiar hymns and reading the ones that are less familiar. We hope that you enjoy the new approach to hymns and that you have hours of listening enjoyment.
