2008 has seen the rise of one of Australias most avant-garde progressive tech artists. Club Junque has used his residency in the dark and brooding cave room at the Chinese Laundry in Sydney to bring himself to the attention of promoters and clubbers across the country with his unique melodic sound.Club Junque is of course an antipodean moniker as his signature seamless soundscape is devoid of any throwaway club music. His support roster reads like a who’s who of international heavyweights, having played alongside the likes of Booka Shade, Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, James Zabiela, Nic Fanciulli, Lee Burridge, Guy J, Tiefschwarz, Carl Craig and Gui Borratto. His debut EP is being released mid this year with studio cohort Neon Stereo and promises to showcase the sounds that have made him a late night favourite amongst many in the dance music community. Not limiting himself to the lure of dusky backrooms, he is also a festival favourite, having been added to the lineup for the 2008 Foreshore Summer music festival in Canberra, Good Vibrations and Future Music Festival In Sydney in 2009.
