Anthony Wayne

A Norfolk, Virginia native, Anthony Wayne has been blessed to share his gifts with the world. Since graduating with his Bachelors’ Degree in Music Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory in the Spring of 2003, he has toured with Fame-The Musical (U.S./Korean Tours) as Tyrone Jackson, Smokey Joe’s Cafe as Dance Captain and Swing for three of the lead performers and The Will Rogers Follies Starring Larry Gatlin as the Indian Dancer, Wrangler and Dance Captain, once again. He received further training from The Alvin Ailey School in New York City and Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago in Evanston, Illinois. Regional credits include A Chorus Line(Richie), Parade(Jim Conley), CATS(Rum Tum Tugger), 42nd Street, Once On This Island (Papa Ge), Aida at Maine State Music Theatre directed by Donna Drake, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival (where he received his Equity Card) and, recently, Swing! at Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) in Houston, Texas. He completed a year run in the First Broadway National Tour of The Color Purple and is currently performing in the First National Broadway Revival Tour of A Chorus Line as Richie. Mr. Wayne is a passionate and anointed individual who gives God the glory in all he does. He sees himself walking in the footsteps of those who came before him such as Ben Vereen, Gregg Burge, Hinton Battle, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Gregory Hines. Currently living in and working from New York City, the sky’s the limit for Anthony. Driven and determined, he loves to open his heart and spirit to be an inspiration so others will be encouraged to push on no matter what. Keep looking up to the sky, you just might see him.
