/September 9th of 1987, Melvin Wellington was born. Better known as Pharaoh(The Don) in the rap game. Titled many names while in pursuit to his rap career. Just to name a few: Rapper/Recording artist/music engineer/songwriter, an all around entertainer, who considers his style to be overall original. He began his talent at age 9, writing his very first song, untitled, at age 11. sampling a D-block beat, feeding off the greatest in the game. In which some of his influences include: Eminem, Tupac, Biggie & most of all Jay-Z. Constantly on his A-game, he gained airplay in 2006,with his first hit single “Gotta Get Mine” Featuring Guttah(GMB) overseas in Germany and in Fayetteville NC. Opening up for the Ying Yang Twins at the 910 Club(now considered as Carolina Live) in 2007. He made a major impact on the crowd at the early age of 16. Stopping at no limits when writing and recording songs. He works hard to Maintain the fan base in all the D.C, Maryland & Virginia area’s, as well as the NC area’s. Future aspirations for Young Pharaoh include him owning his own production company down the line, as well as his own Record company already entitled PHAROCIE ENT. This is a passion for the young entertainer, simply because this is what he loves to do. Express emotion through his songs that every generation can relate to. His rap style varies from R&B to Country to Hardcore Rap. All genre’s influence him to be the best he can be on the track. A little more about this extraordinary man of talent .....he recorded a song for the very first time sitting at a desktop computer in his previous Fayetteville home. At the time he had no programs, just the simple voice recorder, and still people heard the un-mastered song and loved it. Now he has his own in-home studio, where he records songs almost everyday and every night. Day and night writing songs is what got him his very first recorded CD “Ready For Yall” with collaborations with rapper Von Dutch(P.O.L.O Clique) and rapper Definition(GMB). His creative process includes listening to beats...writing verses as well as hooks, and recorded them. In his spare time when he’s not recorded you can find Young Pharaoh in school, at work, chilling, playing video games, or just kicking it with the homies. Overall you can find this rapper mainly spending time with his daughter ChaMel(3 months) in which he does all this creativity for. So holla at ya boy.
