I'm definately a 'free spirit'. I love life and everything around me. I suppose I can be a bit of a rebel at times too. I was born in Oakland, Michigan, but moved to my parents homeland of the Isle of Lewis in Scotland when I was two, where I lived until a few months ago when I moved to England with my Fiance, daughter, Rottweiler Duke, Cat Mia and a very noisy parakeet called Gerri( Who loves to sit on top of my easel while I work. Got to watch for poop though!!!). Family and friends mean everything to me. Oh, and animals. I love them ALL!!! I hate animal cruelty and I think the law should be more harsh on offenders.
I love meeting new people from all over the world so feel free to drop me a line even if it's not about art. I'm very open minded so not much scares me.
I'm a self~taught portrait artist and have been drawing and painting in various mediums for, well, as long as I can remember. I love realism and the fine arts but I'm going to try and be a little creative and do some abstract, modern art pieces too. I started out as an amature artist 'Stonelife', in 1998, when I used to paint stones and make them look like animals, cottages, floweres, etc. After having attended a workshop with Margaret Evans in my local art club, I discovered pastels. I love using them and have since done numerous comissions and one off wildlife portraits.I specialise in peoples pets and wildlife mainly but have drawn people, cars, motorbikes, homes and many more.
I love animals and thoroughly enjoy drawing them. Mainly in pastels but I also enjoy drawing in graphite too. I so far, haven't found the patience to work in oils :)
I have just moved to the southwest of England and hope I can start to become as established here as I was back in Scotland.
