ABOUT GCR: Founded and operated by musician, writer, producer and songwriting teacher, Jim Boardwine, GCR develops and promotes talented teen artists, and partners them w/ regionally & nationally successful acts from all over the country. GCR will unveil a roster of talented artists and release a compilation disc at THE KENT STAGE ON JUNE 27th. Scheduled acts include:
1) MAXX - Best known for fronting Trans-Siberian Orchestra's West Coast Tour, Maxx was born and bred in The Bronx. He is slated to perform a set of songs that he and GCR owner, Jim Boardwine, have written together, as well as a few killer covers.2) THE BOARDWINES - Named one of the top 6 “family bands†in the nation. The group competed on CBS’s The Early Show this winter.3) RED REIGN - 2009 High School Rock Off Finalists, the band performed 2 great shows at the House of Blues in Cleveland. Lead guitarist, Brian Poston, just 17 years old, has almost unmatched prowess. Lead vocalist/guitarist, Desiree Boardwine, and her brother Brett (keys) have crafted an array of melodic, driving tunes.4) SIMEON SOUL CHARGER - Returned from a spring tour that included dates in NYC, Boston and P.A., and backed by a choir of “Gateway City†singers, "Simeon" will play a number of songs from their new LP.5) CHEYNE-STOKES - 2009 Tri-C High School Rock Off Runner-up. Formed in 2004, the teen group members hail from Medina, Ohio and write great, original rock tunes with a metal edge.ALSO APPEARING: Singer-songwriters Amanda Rose, Finn, Stefani Reeder and See You Sunday.
