Movies, Tv shows, Anime, Comics, Cosplay, you know all the usual geeky stuff. I'm not the big gamer, but I've been there and done that. As silly as it sounds, board games hold my interest more than computer games.
A cosplay girl! I used to make costumes professionally for the industry (film&TV) and I love to dress up for halloween and comic-con. (I know, said too much right there) Personality is number one to me. A good MIND is the best thing about anyone. Obviously a wonderfully non-PC sense of humor, the more insane you are the more I'm laughing with you. I know most people are afraid to just say this out loud, but I would LOVE to meet someone with their act together. Emotional Baggage is a part of everyone, I have it too, but someone who knows that there is a time and place for those melodramtic moments is a truly amazing person to me.
Here's where I sound really weird. Soundtracks! If it's a score it's one I own. The closest I ever came to bands I like is New age stuff, Tangerine Dream to name a favorite. I liked some techno and dance electronic, but only a little, I'm very picky on the sound.
Top favorites to name a few: Alien and Aliens, Dead Again, Malice, Memento, V for Vendetta. I generally love good well made movies, classics that stand the test of time, but also the occasional art house flick. The Thing, Halloween, Gods and Monsters, Real Genius, Brain Donors, man I could be here all night.
Old shows from the 80's, cartoons and such, the kid inside is still very much alive and kicking. Airwolf, A-team, you know, retro stuff. Current shows are Lost, Buffy, The new Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, I know big Joss Weadon fan. Dramas that are well written always get me. But as I said before Adult Swim also shares a large space in my heart. Love those off the wall insane shows late at night when Parent groups are mostly asleep.
I used to love Stephen King, he's lately gotten bad for me. Some Clive Barker and HP lovecraft. Did I mention I like horror too? Also a big SciFi person, Ray Bradbury Richard Matheson, Philip K Dick, Issac Asimov, to name a few of my recent reads.
This is tough, are we talking fictional or real? Most of my heros are people who stood up for something, but who were tragically killed before their time. I admire the people who take the hard road because it's the right road. I can't say I've been as strong as them, many haven't, but at least we have an ideal to live up to.
