What is Salvation?
Salvation is living righteously before God. Jesus Christ died so that everyone could be saved from sin. Christ made us free to live the way God wanted us to live. This way of right living gives everyone a right to live in heaven for eternity after you die. Therefore, salvation is living a saved life, which means free from sin.
So, What Are the Steps to Righteous Living Before God? Righteous living is the way God wants you to live your life…
* Love and obey God’s word and stay free from sin.
* Be good and obey your parents and adults at home, school, and church.
* Love your neighbors and those who may not be nice or kind to you.
Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Exodus. 20: 12 Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbors as thyself.
Read and Study the Bible
* Learn as much as you can from God’s Word about righteous living.
* Pray to God daily
Learn how to pray whether it be a long prayer like the ones you do morning, noon, and night. On the other hand, an instant prayer like the ones you pray when you need God in a hurry.
* A long prayer may consist of
Matthew 6:9-13
9. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11. Give us this day our daily bread.
12. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
* A short prayer may just be:
Lord Jesus, I need you now!
Knowing is Power
Now that you know, what salvation is and you have learned how to live saved. Are you saved? Do you have salvation working in your life? If not, do you want to be saved and live in heaven?
If your answer is “YES,”
The Word of God Declares…
* Romans 10: 9-10
9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Repeat the sinner’s prayer:
“Dear Lord Jesus, forgive me of all my sins. I believe Jesus Christ came to this earth and died for my sins on Calvary. I believe that God raised Him from the dead, and He is seated on the right hand of the Father. Dear Lord Jesus, come into my life and be my Lord and Savior.” If you have repeated these words, you are now saved and have salvation working in your life…
