Tim Gallaher is a San Francisco-based, mixed-media performance artist. With an undergraduate degree in film production and originally in the L.A. based art-rock band, Waldo the Dog Faced Boy, his current primary mediums are music, film and writing, and he combines them into unique performances in which he accompanies his musical films and their recorded soundtracks with live narration and singing while standing up alongside the projected images, creating musical cinematic performance narratives. Spoken word and absurd puppetry round out the shows. He has performed his one-man show, Tim's Magic Lantern Show, at both the San Francisco and Victoria, Canada Fringe Festivals, and his songs can be heard in such independent feature films as April is My Religion, The Low Life - in which he also makes a brief appearance as a "performance artist" - and Troma Film's Tromeo and Juliet. His song “Slip” is featured on the sound art compilation CD released in the spring of 2004, Project>Soundwave, and he has been a featured artist is both Project>Soundwave series performances in San Francisco (2004 & 2006). Currently, Tim is working on his next musical video performance, set in the early 1960s U.S., about a majestic and seductive alien who visits a lonely, young ham-radio buff and changes history in the process.

Fortunately, somewhere between chance and mystery lies imagination, the only thing that protects our freedom, despite the fact that people keep trying to reduce it or kill it off altogether.-Luis Bu...
