Well let's see...I spent the first 16 years of my life dancing ballet & jazz. I started dancing when I was 5 years old and by 18 was in a professional company, Peninsula Ballet. I had also been teaching ballet to the advanced students at a studio an Concord, Dance Connection. I started out as a guest teacher in a summer program and then was put on the permanent staff list. By age 19 I was made the Head of the Ballet department and did some co-directing. But teaching in Concord and rehearsing in San Mateo gets exhausting really quick. I decided that I neeed to finish my own dancing career and take a break from teaching, so I performed with Peninsula Ballet until spring of 2000 when my heart wasn't completely in it anymore. After trying to find my niche somewhere, I'm working with a great commercial insurance brokerage in Pleasant Hill. They took a chance on me, hiring me with no insurance experience and it's worked out great. I was promoted after my 90 day probation and have hopes that I'll be with the company for many years to come. I'll be taking lots of insurance classes to further my education in insurance and pick up a couple different designations (I hope) and continue moving forward on this current path.
