About Me

It started in the 60’s when I played the guitar and sang with a garage band. Singing has been a lifelong passion and here I have the opportunity to share some of my personal favorite songs. A lifetime of inspiration supplied by the one and only Roy Orbison continued to drive me to see a lifelong dream come true. As the largest private collector of Roy Orbison memorabilia, I continue to be inspired by the man and his music. With the release of my second cd, “It’s Just Love” I have an opportunity to bring to you some classic 50’s and 60’s songs along with some great new songs by Jim Weatherly and Dennis Morgan. Both songwriters are grammy award winners and have written for some of the greatest singers of our time.

After a successful business career I had the great fortune to meet Roy Orbison’s lead guitar player, Bucky Barrett. Bucky and I have become great friends and collaborators on both of these cds. I have had the good fortune to be able to play with some of the finest musicians in Nashville and here is the result. On this project I had the rare privilege of having Boots Randolph perform on 3 of the cuts on the cd. This proved to be Boot’s last project before his untimely passing this year. His genius and musical mastery shines through.

While no one can do a Roy Orbison song like Roy we have our own interpretation of two of his classic tunes as my tribute to Roy and the incredible songwriter that he was. Of very special meaning to me was to have several of Roy’s band playing on this cd. Bucky Barrett, lead guitar and producer, Jim (Turbo) Kirby, keyboards, Richard Law, background vocals. Several other of the musicians played with Roy in the studio. What a thrill it was to sit and listen to the stories of recording those classic tunes by one of the greatest vocalist of our time. Thanks to all for their hard work and dedication in making this project come to life. I hope you enjoy this and it brings you as much pleasure listening as it did making it.

Thank you for sharing this time with me and listening to the music.
