September of last year I turned 30. All through out my 20's, many of my friends and I had decided that we would "grow up" in our 30's. Well, me being me, life made me compact my entire 30's into 8 months. Its been a hell of a ride, and no matter how hectic or stressful, I couldn't be happier with the results. My baby was conceived on my 30th b-day. After finding this out, I first got a job working for the Federal Government as a technician in the VA hospital's pharmacy. I really enjoy it. It's not easy work, but does have a sense of reward and I'm learning more than I have at any job.
From here I got engaged to my beautiful and incredible wife. I never thought I would be so lucky. She is everything that I could have ever wanted. She wanted to be married prior to our baby's first day of life. So, we threw together an incredible wedding within 2 months time. Our reception was at Joey Buona's, and I highly recommend them. They made it much easier on us.
Now just a week ago (May 18th), our baby was born. Jakob was 6 lbs, 5 oz., and 19" inches. He really is the cutest newborn I have ever seen and he already has a great personality. This sounds odd, seeing that he is only a week old, but he has already made advancements that shouldn't have come quite yet. He is very loved.
We also have come very close to completing our home. I can't wait til its done. We aren't building or anything, but this house is so old and needed so much work, it doesn't feel a lot different from building from the ground up...lol...
So what is left to say other than, "life is good, I have a new family that is exactly what I wanted, my house is on its way to becoming the same, and my job has the potential to be perfect for me."
