About Me

APRIL NEWS: ******* BREWHOUSE WITH CHRIS AUXT Saturday night - warm weather & a 4 hour set of music with my favorite guitar player ever! It's going to a fun night. If you're in the area come celebrate the return of summer!******* 2 SONGS ARE READY FOR VOCALS! Bret Alexander sent me the rough instrumental cuts of LOW and NOTHING LIKE I THOUGHT - I can not describe to you how thrilled I am! I'm almost afraid to sing over them! BLESSED BE is up next.******* LAST MEISERVILLE JAM NIGHT I got to play some tunes with Dave Blackledge at his last open mic night at the Meiserville Inn. It's been a joy going there over the past few years. It was my favorite jam night because Dave created a fun and supportive atmosphere. I'll gladly make the drive when Mr. Blackledge starts up another one... no pressure though! ;-)******* VOTING FOR 717 MUSIC AWARDS! There are so many talented musicians in this area. Why not support your favorites by voting in the 717 Music Awards? Check out "The Doctor's Office" for more information on voting! ....oh, yeah - I'm a nominee in case you haven't picked up on that already. ;-) Please vote for me!******* RECORDING IN THE WORKS! I'm thrilled to be working with Bret Alexander on my new recording. What he's produced so far is beyond my expectations that it makes me giddy! I can't wait to post these songs for you... soon, my friends, soon!Dave Blackledge of PA Musician Magazine wrote about the project in this month's issue..."I got an email from Bret Alexander today. I personally think Bret is one of the best singer/songwriters in the business. Terrific songs, great voice, excellent stage presence and almost, as good looking as me. What else is there? Bret tells me he's producing an album for another incredible singer songwriter, Mycenea Worley. I can't wait to hear this album. I can sense a lot of magic going on there between Bret's ear and creative intuition and Mycenea's voice and songs." Thank you, Dave! It is magic, indeed!Pick up the April issue of PA Musician for the full article "Singer/Songwriter & Other Madness". I promise you'll smile! Dave's that kind of guy.*******A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME:I love writing, arranging, giving covers some of my own flavor, learning from other musicians and, of course, performing.Come on out and catch a show, you'll hear a wide range of music from every genre... Country classics like Patsy Kline and Johnny Cash, American standards – like “Blue Moon” and “Dream a Little Dream” as well as a mish-mosh of great songs from the 50's - present. And of course I throw some of my own in to the mix as well...Music has put me in touch with so many wonderful people. I've met some of my closest friends as a result of playing. A big thank you to everyone who has supported me - you're all part of the music that I play. I hope to see you soon!PS - EP is in the works.... I'll keep you posted!Free MySpace Layouts by Iron Spider

Sounds Like: “She has that certain deeper rock voice that you really don’t expect from a female vocalist, but it was a welcomed surprise. She even shared some originals that will blow your mind away. She’s amazing, especially when you consider she’s only been a solo performer for a little over a year. …Check out her schedule in this issue and go hear her, you won’t be disappointed!” – Rachel Rocks, PA MUSICIAN June 2008 ************************************************************ *********“Mycenea Worley didn’t start playing guitar until she was 21, but since then she has played in a number of bands and now she is playing solo acoustic shows to showcase her folksy sound. Her voice sounds a lot like Natalie Merchant's. “ – Spottobe.com************************************************ *********************"You are one of my favorite songwriters and if you were actually here, I'd give you a hug and wish you luck” -Dave Blackledge, PA MUSICIAN August 2008
