I was born in 1991 as Margot De Ridder, which means ‘pearl’ and also ‘child of the sea’ in Greek. I started my acting career at the age of three in a television soap called ‘Ons Geluk’ on VTM. I played in short movies, commercials and television shows but the serious work started when I was seven. I was then part of the cast of ‘Flikken’, a police soap I was on for seven years. After my character left the show I continued acting and played a main part in the ‘De Kavijaks’, directed by Stijn Coninckx and with Jan Decleir as my on-screen father. At the age of four I started dancing, taking up different styles as classical ballet, jazz ballet, streetdance, hip-hop and I am still taking videoclip dance classes. But the big love of my life is music! It all started for me when I was part of ‘Neon’, a musical and theatrical collective for young funky people. I became thirsty for more and started taking private vocal coaching lessons with Larry. Later on I enroled at her vocal studio ‘Oldskool’ where I took the intensive program. There I learned the fine art of singing, writing songs, recording in a studio and performing in a choir. I learned the tricks of the trade and am currently writing my own album with Larry and my producer Nicolas Lefèvre.
