About Me

MHG is a loose knit affiliation, mostly from the Denver Gothic community, but also consisting of members from various other sub-cultures, all with a desire to help people less fortunate then themselves.
MHG is still active, but we can no longer offer the "1 on 1" work with individuals that we did our first year. Instead, we'll be trying to address community wide issues via our MySpace blogs and bulletins. Like help with job searches, things to do when your broke, and more coming in the future.
We also hope to be able to organize one or two events later this year, namely a Christmas toy drive.
And our very own Pixie is working to organize this years Gothnic! (Thanks Pixie!!)
We'd like to encourage everyone to help out in your everyday lives (when & where you can) no matter small. Helping community members or anyone who needs help, a shoulder, a hand, or a sympathetic ear, food, clothing etc...

Lastly, although we help promote events that are specific to our genres. We are not promoters! We are simply providing information as a courtesy to help our community members stay informed about what's going on in the Goth / Industrial / Metal / Punk and Emo scenes in the Denver Metro area. We do however have a list of local promoters, scroll down & to the left.

Sophie Lancaster, who was beaten to death for being a Goth.
The Murder of Sophie Lancaster was a murder case in the United Kingdom in 2007. The victim was brutally attacked along with her boyfriend, Robert Maltby, while walking through Stubbylee Park in Bacup, Rossendale in Lancashire. As a result of her severe head injuries she went into a coma, never regained consciousness, and later died. The police said the attack may have been provoked by the couple wearing gothic fashion and being members of the goth subculture.
