"Tell me your story, my friend," Magnus Thorne, the mysterious proprietor of Obsidian Night Club in Miami, Florida urges.
"Understand that my past is very bloody, and I take no pride in the telling of it," purrs Prysm, a creature of three facets - that of the cat, the person, and the panther. The spy, the human, and the executioner.
"The old man was slow in dying. Judging by the remaining length of the nine fat candlesticks that lined mantle, much of the night had passed before he breathed his last breath and was still on the sheets. Kneeling by his bedside, I mouthed a silent prayer. A prayer for the salvation of his soul. And of my own."

With trembling hands, Castor sank to his knees before the two and whispered, "Though it can last no more than an instant, I shall grant you the one last thing you desire. I give you your mortality." And so their hearts were bound as they stood against the edge of the night, bitter tears falling down into the ground to soak up all the pain and rage they'd left behind with their forsaken lives. Suddenly the ever present hunger, the lust that bordered on madness, and the desperate clutching for humanity was no more than a dream. As they came together to share one last mortal kiss, there came a soft voice, echoing across the night air. "Into the night, our internal flight. We wait for the darkness to carry us home. Forever in shadow, eternally alone."
MAGNUS
Obsidian's elusive nocturnal proprietor, Magnus, has come to accept the fate which condemns him to live eternally in the shadows. Grim but determined, he searches for clues that will help him to discover the whereabouts of his headstrong lover, Autumn. His myriad abilities, including a knack for regenerating flesh, render Nevala indestructible. Does Nevala have a weakness, or is he truly immortal?
AUTUMN

PRYSM
Possessing three facets - that of the man, the cat, and the panther, Prysm searches for answers in life and seeks to fulfill his pre-determined destiny. His sarcastic manner of speech and often crass nature often cause others to shun him, and so he lives a life of solitude at Obsidian. Is Prysm more than what he seems? What role will he play in the near future of Obsidian? And do the horrific actions of his past mark him as a savage predator, or will he one day find his redemption?
The people who come to Obsidian - the vampire, the shape-shifter, the far-seer, the monster, the unknown, and the hunter - will face terror, horror, wonder, and surprise. They will have to deal with love, hatred, betrayal, greed, envy, and lust. The value of friendship and the meaning of life will be revealed to them as they struggle to find their own destinies without becoming lost in the endless battle of good versus evil.
