Live from Lafayette, Louisiana . . .

About Me

WHAZZUP?!!! My name is Ian Paul Auzenne , better known as B. B. Gunn! I am a graduate of Beau Chêne High School (Class of '06) and a current student at Princeton University (Class of '10). I enjoy music, watching sports, and shooting pool. I am a former quiz bowl competitor and trivia buff. I also work as a softball umpire in both Louisiana and New Jersey.
I am also actively involved in media. I am involved with WPRB-FM Radio in Princeton. I serve as program director and co-Sports Director. I also co-host/anchor TIMEOUT on Mondays and Fridays (5:00 P.M. EST), anchor WPRB NEWS PRESENTS: THE WEEK IN REVIEW on Mondays (6:00 P.M. EST), and host RANDOM ACTS OF MUSIC every Wednesday (3:00 P.M. EST). When I'm in Lafayette, I produce and direct public access television shows at the Acadiana Open Channel .
Featured Song: "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights" by Freddy Fender
Originally recorded in 1959, this song faded into obscurity after Freddy Fender was convicted of marijuana possession that same year. When Fender's career rebounded in 1975, he re-recorded the "Wasted Days," taking it to #8 on the Billboard pop charts and to #1 on the Billboard Country Charts in August of 1975.

My Interests

Quiz Bowl, Game Shows, Sports (in general), the New Orleans Saints, all types of music, television and radio, politics, and humor.

I'd like to meet:

HMMMM...Good Question.

Music:

Anything and everything!!! Queen, Elton John, Joe Jackson, Elvis, the Beatles, Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, and everyone else in between. Classic Rock, old-school R&B, Adult Contemporary, pop from the 50's through 90's, and much more. Very little rap and country, though.

Movies:

National Lampoon's Animal House; Blazing Saddles; History of the World, Part I; Meet the Parents; and Meet the Fockers. Check back here later because I haven't seen any good movies recently.

Television:

Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, and any other game show you can think of. ESPN and all the other sports channels. Countdown with Keith Olbermann. VH1 Classic and, on occasion, some of the other music channels. Comedy Central. The Acadiana Open Channel, public access television for Lafayette, Louisiana.

Books:

The Devil's Dictionary by Ambrose Bierce (great sarcasm), Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert, Bias by Bernard Goldberg, Candide by Voltaire (a comedy of errors in an odd way; great use of irony.), and Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury (Be afraid. Be very afraid.)

Heroes:

Bainter and Mojo.
