Ok. So I am currently in college studying for my degree in Fine arts. By the middle of 2009 I will have a Bachelor of fine arts in studio work and a minor in photography. We shall see were God leads me from there. I would really like to get the opportunity to try etching or engraving, of the drawing like styles. I love taking photographs but there is a specialness to creating from nothing. Computers have gotten so fancy these days all the amazing things photo shop can do. I love to see hand done work. I have had the chance to see Art in New York at a few wonderful museums. Art in person is a wonderful thing. So much different than a small town girl ever expected.
How do you define a life. So many paths and changes. Some important facts. I was in Iraq in 2003 suffered disabilities from my military service and got out becuase of them. Sometimes I do work about it but it's a very heavy subject matter and sometimes I have to look away.
So for now I enjoy the luxuries of a beautiful daughter, a devoted husband, a loving caring God who, despite my trials, has chosen to consider my character over my comfort... and I ain't dead yet. Hopefully I will do them justice and in the end make some wonderful art to boot. I think art can be powerful and thats the type I want to make. But I am learning that you can't please everyone. Some people are not empathetic and do not react as strongly to the figure as I do. One day I will discover the way for now I just keep trying.
