APÔCRIFA

ApôcrifA es una banda de Power Metal Progresivo de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Islas Canarias, España). El concepto de ApôcrifA se gestó en el año 2005, de manos del bajista Armando J. Álvarez y el cantante Kino Nieto, miembros por aquel entonces del grupo Perihellion, pero no es hasta comienzos de 2008 cuando ApôcrifA empieza a dar sus primeros pasos reales, al unirse al grupo los guitarristas Chesco Aneiros (Lácrima), Adexe Santiago y el teclista Daniel Navarro. La formación completaría su círculo en el verano de ese año, con la incorporación del batería Héctor Lorenzo (ArchantiA).

ApôcrifA interpreta un metal con fuertes melodías progresivas, influenciadas principalmente por bandas de power metal y metal progresivo, tales como Symphony X, Nocturnal Rites, Dream Theater, Dragonland o Masterplan, por citar algunos ejemplos. Sus evocadoras letras están inspiradas en obras conceptuales y de ciencia ficción.

La banda ha grabado y producido su primera demo, conteniendo los tres primeros temas del grupo:

* La luz que hubo en mí.

* Empezar.

* Mi condición.

Actualmente se ha terminado la composición de 6 temas listos para el directo y algunos más se encuentran en proceso de creación. El año 2009 se presenta intenso para ApôcrifA, ya que pretenden grabar y producir su primer disco.

ApôcrifA is a Progressive Power Metal band of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain). ApôcrifA's concept was born in the year 2005, by hands of the bassist Armando J. Álvarez and the singer Kino Nieto, members in those days of Perihellion, but it is not until the beginning of 2008 when ApôcrifA starts giving his first steps, when the keyboardplayer Daniel Navarro, the guitarists Chesco Aneiros (Lácrima) and Adexe Santiago joins the band. "The crew would complete the circle" in the summer of this year, with the incorporation at drums of Héctor Lorenzo (ArchantiA).

ApôcrifA developes a heavy metal with strong progressive melodies, influenced principally by bands of power and progressive metal, such as Symphony X, Nocturnal Rites, Dream Theater, Dragonland or Masterplan, for mentioning some examples. His evocative lyrics are inspired by science fiction literature and the forces of Universe like a conceptual work.

ApôcrifA has recorded and produced his own demo, containing the first three songs of the band:

- Empezar.

- Mi condición.

Nowadays they has finished the arrangements of 6 new songs ready for the scene and some of them more are in under process of composicion. The year 2009 appears intensely for ApôcrifA, since they try to record and to produce hir first album.
