Sono un artista che lavora con le macchine delle fototessere in strada...Imagine one of those photo machine box destined to the bureaucratic ripetition of contrived smiles and stiff faces, 4 poses 4 , not only a single gesture, wait, curiosity to glance at the pictures before they cool down, the usual marbled expressions meaningless also on the driving licence.Then try to imagine the same photo box as the centre of creativity, alive, cheerful, with a young artist studying the distances inside, measuring the space, organizing an ingenious coreography, giving a new meaning to each single box’s noise and finally providing a soul to that bored box.Now the photo box moves. It’s the same movement that you can find in Francesco Alessandra’s pictures, unable to escape the grasp of the photographer’s lens that flows from a side to another following a tematic path of witty semplicity.
Impressions in 4..4 are to be born, a cut sequence of a continuos flow, pieces of the same snapshot.The artist wanders about the grey stillness of the lens, the lack of space, the race against the clock,
3 seconds, just 3 seconds between an exposure and the next. 3 seconds to fix the gestures, trasform the scenery and change clothes, creating a four life’s pieces -story in 12 seconds.
