I am here for Friends

About Me

..
I'm a west coast girl at heart living in an east coast world. The transition was surprisingly easy, but I still long for the sunsets. I've been married to the most wonderful man for a little more than two years. We're enjoying opening the doors on each new phase of life. I have some kinda crazy opinions on some things, but they are what makes me who I am. My close friends and family (most of the time they overlap) are the most important people in the world to me. I love my dogs like my children. Traveling is in my soul - "Travel is fatal to prejudice." My life has allowed me some pretty crazy experiences- A trip to Egypt to stand at the base of the pyramids, skydiving out of a perfectly good airplane, surfing in Hawaii, watching NYC from the top of the World Trade Center towers- and each has formed/shaped/altered my opinions. I love pasta, Jelly Belly jellybeans, ice cream, and Dr. Pepper. I believe the ones we love are taken from us too soon. I hate snakes, and liars. "I believe that believing we survive, is what makes us survive." And I believe anyone brave enough to get up every morning and put on the uniform of our country deserves the utmost respect.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

When King Lear dies in Act V, do you know what Shakespeare has written? He's written "He dies." That's all, nothing more. No fanfare, no metaphor, no brilliant final words. The culmination of the most influential work of dramatic literature is "He dies." It takes Shakespeare, a genius, to come up with "He dies." And yet every time I read those two words, I find myself overwhelmed with dysphoria. And I know it's only natural to be sad, but not because of the words "He dies." but because of the life we saw prior to the words.
