I'm a barber working at an upscale salon in midtown east side Manhattan, I live in a modest apartment in this neighborhood. New York has been my home for the last twenty years, I was raised in the Bay Area across from San Francisco and lived in San Francisco for almost fourteen years and also lived, my favorite place other than New York, in Sausalito, just north across the Golden Gate Bridge from SF. I am practicing photography, write a bit, I've done some music production using a "project studio" I built in my apartment. I like to flatter myself with the idea I'm a anarchist in the spirit of Gandhi, meaning one who does not follow leaders simply put. I also exercise and keep myself fit and dress as well as is appropriate for my work meaning I try and dress well, without reading like an egotist, I don't wear Levi's or jeans everyday but dress like I'm actually in Manhattan. One of my complaints these days is the overly casual dress of people in contrast to their surroundings. Bad haircuts abound and I'm on a mission to do something about that, Concord Hair Studio, Manhattan, N.Y. is where I'm now working and have worked for the time I've been here in New York, a city I'm proud to have as my home.
