About Me
I'm a travel junkie - I find it thrilling to randomly find myself in the midst of a completely foreign culture. It's all about the experience. I've spent time in 20 or so countries, and lived in Germany, Japan, and France. To me, travel is an essential ingredient in gaining perspective in life. I'm lucky enough that I get to do it for a living, and, for a time, I wrote about my adventures (for the now-defunct Graffiti magazine).I also really, really love a good book. And my bed. Other things I like: hammocks, Indian food, debating, sunbathing, my cat, decrepit buildings out in the middle of nowhere, making lists, driving, museums, live music, history, art, architecture, theater, organizing things, Halloween, getting other people to laugh. Things I think ought to be eradicated from existence: credit card offers that come in the mail, pants with pleats, the practice of wearing cell phones on one's belt, middle seats on international flights.
