Why do I write? Well, I could say that I write because I want to make a difference in the world. If I can make a person stop and think about something they've never questioned before, spark some sort of cognition, then it has all been worth it. Or, I could say I write because it is the only way I am able to contextually place my thoughts and experiences- turn them into tangible things, in an intangible world. Maybe I wish to fill a void. It could be because I wish to immortalize the things that people perhaps would like to, but otherwise, don't know how to. I might write because of a longing to leave my mark in the world. Maybe I write because I know it is something I can do alone. Perhaps I write because I wish to present arguments. Perhaps I write because I wish to ignore facts. Maybe I write because I like happy endings- or sad ones. Maybe it's egoism. After all, George Orwell said his number one reason for writing was because of pure egoism. All of these reasons are quite true and valid, although I'm sure there are still a hundred more. So, why write? I guess I still don't really know. But, why combine music and writing?
