About Me

*KRISTIN LEE* has a style and repertoire that reflect her love of the American Standards from the 1910s through the 1960s, and her favorite singers of the Big Band era. Latin music, ‘Gypsy Jazz’ and International Hits add to her versatility, and whether she performs with her pianist, her trio, or her band, the overall effect is a tasteful, enjoyable performance. Kristin Lee sings with a group of any size, ranging from a duet with an accompanist, to adding other musicians: acoustic bass, drums and/or brass, depending upon your event. **~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~** BIOGRAPHY Kristin Lee’s parents listened to their ‘pop music’ from the 40s & 50s—Nat King Cole, Julie London, Tijuana Brass, etc…which gave her a taste for this older style of American music. Kristin fell in love with jazz by listening to KJAZZ, and passionate about music & singing, she trained with the great jazz singer, Julie Kelly. While touring Europe for the past three summers, she also recorded in France, with Philipe Gallet, Christian Matarazzi & Pierre Le Van. There she deepened her interest in vintage European music and ‘gypsy jazz.’ Much of her repertoire comes from ‘The Great American Songbook’ with music that was written by musical history greats, such as Cole Porter, Peggy Lee & Antonio Jobim. Most recently she performed at the Festival de L’Estaque in the south of France, the Crowne Plaza Hotel in California & J's Tapas of Ventura.**~~** Please note that the trax here are all raw; recorded in France by a great crew of musicians (1st mentioned by their instruments). je veux remercier tous les musicians qui sont bien travaillee avec moi! Thanx to all of the great musicians who have worked with me!
