About Me
This is a Myspace page in memory of my father, Seth Garwood. He died on July 21, 2005 from a lifelong struggle with depression. It's been very hard to live without him, and I really wanted to put this out there.
Seth was born in New York on March 23, 1950 to Doug and Janet Garwood. He moved around about 50 times or more in his life. He worked at a Cable copany for a number of years, and then when I was 7, he got the call to become a minister. He attended United Theological Seminary in MN and was a minister ever since then. He had left for about 6 years when we lived in Shakopee. He loved music and about 5 or so years before he died he got into the Green Party of MN. He knew Ralph Nader and helped my brother campaign for Cam Gordon to become a MN councilman. Sadly, Cam lost the first round, but in 2005, just after Dad died, Cam won and now is in the Government Center with my brother as his main aide. Dad would have been really proud. He was preceeded in death by his mom, Janet, and some other family members, including his 18-year-old nephew, Justin. Justin's death was very hard on my father, and is possibly one of the reasons my Dad finally gave up. Justin died on June 13, 2005, about a month and 8 days before my Dad died. Dad had a lifelong struggle with depression, and this website is up to warn people about depression and suicide and for people who have lost someone to share how they're coping.
