The term "Praxis" is a term I hold dearly when creating music. Being a community organizer for some time now, hip hop is not just rap music, and it's not even just about graffing, breaking, or scratching...it's about using the elements and channeling them into weapons; weapons that intensify our voice, our politics, and our demands for social change. Hip Hop helps to uplift and connect as well...so when I write about an ex girlfriend, a muni bus ride, a struggle through the trenches against my writer's block, I write these reflections in hopes to connect to you, the people, the masses.
