nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;SHIFT-WORK RECORDS
Our goal is to deliver consistently fresh releases of contemporary dance music with a wide variety of influences ranging from techno to electro, from breaks to indie, with our roots firmly planted in the last twenty years of house music. Listeners and dj's can count on Shift-work for something unique with every release, never getting stuck to one sound. This is our mission and we will work around the clock to see it through.
Shift-work Records
Shift-work Records began in 2006 when long time friends and studio partners Jesse Goldfarb and Kaelo Gallagher decided they wanted a platform for artists to release material where content meant more than genre. They wanted the freedom to be able to release records in the digital domain that drew on a wide range of styles and influences. As JK47, Jet and Kaelo have number of successful releases and remixes under their belt and are excited about this new endeavour as it will allow them the opportunity to reach an even greater audience. Shift-work offers the best in up and coming talent from musicians and producers here in Canada (Undadogg, Myagi, Leffler & Mannerskin, Damon G, Isaac S) and around the globe. The premier release for Shift-work (Nov. 2007) is "Plastic Aviator" by JK47. This hypnotic number has had great reviews and airplay after a very limited vinyl promo, and includes a never heard before remix by Argentina's Hernan Gutmer. Up next (Jan. 2008) is "Baby, This Might Hurt" by JK47 with remixes supplied by Damon G and Isaac S, followed by "Butterfly - The Remixes"(March 2008) by the band Undadogg. This release will feature three different remixers take on the beautiful original with the vocals of Andrea Lucarelli. These three releases are sure to set the tone for Shift-work Records as Jet and Kaelo look to the future. All demo submissions are welcome.
