About Me
I'm a long time Houstonian, although I was born in New York and was socialized in many wonderful places across the country. I grew up with diverse musical influences and a passion for drums. My father, Jerry, played saxophone and clarinet, and was a big band leader, performing with Benny Goodman, Dizzy Gillespie and Edie Gorme as well as various symphony orchestras. My mom, Janet, always had music of every imaginable style playing in the house and my sister, Meryl, was a singer/guitarist. I am the drummer for Hidden Agenda (www.4hiddenagenda.com / www.myspace.com/4hiddenagenda) and have played with several rock, R&B and blues bands in Houston and Pennsylvania, including Jamie Kay and the Stereo, Inside/Out, Felis Leo, The Bricklayers Arm and the Bob Buckingham Blues Band. I am married to the wonderful and talented drummer, Cindy Nelson. In addition to drumming, I am fortunate to do what I love for a living, working with dogs as the owner of a dog boarding facility.
