Premade LayoutsPeople say that I am too serious, but I have this truly funny side..I have been known to make people laugh even. I married my polar opposite..the most lighthearted soul on the planet. We make a great balance.People say that I think too much. I abhor any type of injustice. I try to jump off of my soapbox sometimes.I am loyal, shockingly honest, shy, and I worry too much.I am concerned with the direction the world is taking. I am still idealistic enough somedays to belief in peace. My first dream was to join the circus and be a trapeze artist, until I realized that I was afraid of heights.Music and art are good for the soul so I keep these on hand.I am a voracious reader, and I sometimes write.I have worked as a social worker for 10 years primarily working in HIV/AIDS and Cancer support, education, funding, and program management and development. I am currently home with my kids and helping out while my dear husband pursues his final studies to become an engineer. Social Work is a rewarding, yet misunderstood profession. I've worked in great places: NIH /National Cancer Institute, in Appalachia managing a Ryan White Title III program, and in the city with HIV-positive women, children, and youth. I have also worked with at-risk and adjudicated youth. I have had the honor to work with amazing individuals; individuals who are in the background without any concern for fame or recognition. They are my heros!I have to say that my faults are that I am a perfectionist...clean freek....I enjoy a pint of Guinness, a good cup of strong coffee (not in that order, most of the time).Life is beautiful..I shouldn't have to be reminded of that...oh, yeah--I am a rambler.
