About Me

I am fascinated by a lot of things and, currently, The Singularity tops the list. Don't know what it is? The Singularity, in a nutshell, is a point in the near future where the exponential advancement of technology, spurred by the advent of Artifical Intelligence, changes the world almost overnight. Check out http://www.singularity.org/ for more information.I hope to have my blogs be a source of information about current events in the areas of AI and other relevant technologies that may signal the approach of the upcoming Singularity. As a counterpoint I will also be posting items of interest that highlight the dangers we face as a global community that, if left unaddressed, could result in a significant threat to all of us.I believe the emergence of AI and the subsequent Singularity event to be a hopeful and very real solution to the world's problems, but until then it is left to us, the individual to stand up for what we believe and make a difference in the many small, and not so small ways, that can make the world a better place to those around us.Cheers.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Ray Kurzweil, Larry Niven, Jules Verne, Davinci, Bill Gates
