About Me

SupaJamma - Band
The band features Martin (Sugar) Merchant , best known for his work fronting Audioweb, previously Sugar Merchants & prior to that on vocals with The Saxon Sound System. In recent years he's been working as a ska DJ under the name of Ska Merchant.
Martin is joined by myself Simon Collier on bass. I kicked off playing punk in the late 80's before forming indie band Raindance in the early 90's. Following that was a long period as manager to various hard edged bands (check the rocknrollunlimited profile for more info).
On guitar we have Bevs who can't remember what he's done due to his psychodelic influences so I guess he was having a good time.
Drums come courtesy of Graham Bennett formerly of Liverpool rockers Steeple.
The collaboration developed in 2007 with the full band coming together for rehearsals in summer 2008.

Influences:

From Manchester Indie to Kingston Reggae though punk & hip hop with a side order of rock 'n' roll plus a dash of soul.A dish best served loud in a darkened room with good company.
