Band Members: Music on this page is from a few different projects. Songs 16 and 1 are from a live set with Mike MacAllister on guitar and Franco Pinna on drums, these were Mike's songs and one of my favorite trio settings to play in. Strong Arm is with these two again on another gig. Blah and Unto You are songs I wrote with a group I played with in MN called The Artsy Neighbor, started out as a weekly workshop/jam session that grew into a lot of fun. Jeremy Hauer on Drums, Brian Ziemniak on Rhodes, Clay Pufhal on Sax and Blair Krivanek on Guitar. I have re-recorded Unto You with Mike and Franco and will post that one day as well. The Semi-Finalists was written by Dan Venne for a group he led by the same name. I have some live recordings from this group I am trying to find as well, Dan Venne on guitar, Heath Walton on Sax and Sam Levine on Drums. Currently playing with a number of different projects in a variety of styles. I try to play as much music as possible, from jazz, blues, death metal, old country, rockabilly, soul, classical, spontaneous improv, you name it. There really isn't much music I don't like. Always looking to play, give me a yell if you need a bass player. For the past few years and hopefully for many more you can also catch me traveling with singer Gina Sicilia and guitarist Dave Gross.
Influences: Ray Brown, Scott Colley, William Parker, Henry Grimes, Mark Helias, Scott Lafaro, James Jamerson, Larry Taylor, Duck Dunn, George Porter Jr., Derek Bailey, Ornette, Drew Gress, Tom Rainey, Mark Dresser, Anders Jormin, Kenny Werner, Ralph Alessi, Tony Moreno, George Garzone, Bobo Stenson and so many more.
Sounds Like: Music, I hope.
