I don't know how to explain it... I can't begin to tell you how or where it came from... I mean, to truly be blessed with the best of both worlds... The only answer that I have for you is that I get it from the Big Boss in the sky... And for that reason I feel as though I have a job to do... And that is to get you in this lane that I'm in, or path if you will-maybe a journey even... More like a zone... Yeah, that's what it is- a zone... An indescribable zone... You don't know it yet but you need this... The world needs this... Your mind and spirit yearns for it... It's what I call the I.Z.Y... The Indescribable Zone (that you) Yearn (for)...Born in Northwest Washington, D.C., I wouldn't have known by a long shot that by listening to songs from Sam Cooke to Scarface or from Daddy Kane to Donnie Hathaway that I would grow up to become inspired and be a musician of any kind. At this point for me though, I just can't help it. My creativity for music literally runs through me like I'm Neo in the Matrix and I'm plugged in or something. It's funny really; I remember being ten or eleven beat-boxing like Doug E. Fresh while my friends freestyle. They would ALWAYS make me beat-box because I was so good at it! To this day, my rap influences are pioneers like Run DMC, Big Daddy Kane, Kool Moe Dee, Slick Rick, L.L. Cool J, and Rakim, and icons like Scarface, Beanie Segal, Snoop Dogg, Talib Queli, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Tupac, Busta Rhymes, The Notorious B.I.G., and Jay-Z. My singing roots comes from being raised at Union Bethel A.M.E. Church in Brandywine, MD where Dr. Rev. Harry L. Seawright is the pastor. From being in the church choir to singing lead since I was nine, singing just came natural for me. To me there is nothing like the feeling you get in music- especially singing. As far as my talent, the artists that I feel like I can relate to are artists such as Missy Elliot, Devin the Dude, Lauryn Hill, Cee-Lo, and Andre 3000 because they too have the best of both worlds- they can flow and they can sing.Though I was born in D.C., I only lived there for a couple of years when my family and I moved south to Malcolm, MD. For a few years I lived in Waldorf, MD, but for the most part I resided in the good ol' sticks and woods of the Malcolm/Brandywine area (better known as Dog Patch). Coming up as a youngster I was your typical poor, fatherless, black kid that seen and been through things that perhaps a child shouldn't see or go through, but I honestly feel that the life I had growing up was meant for me and I went through it for a reason. It made me ambitious, more aware of life, and a more stronger person. My life is truly a testimony and for that I am forced to put it in my music.Some things you might not like and some you will, but all and all I am a professional. Not only do I not write my lyrics because I do them in my head, you will not hear me curse in my lyrics. I don't knock anyone who does- for me it's not necessary. Though I might come off blunt or harsh at times, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that what I posses is heaven-sent. Now, I do roll with a few cats that I stumbled upon and have strong vibes with and they too have simular stories to tell. You might here some of them use explicit content in their lyrics but hey, maybe the Lord may use me to touch them the way he did me. These dudes are truly talented and I love them unconditionally. With the up-and-running label K.O.A. Records in effect, the sky is the limit for us.Another thing about me is that I have a huge heart and I'm down for helping anyone who is willing to help themselves and all they need is for someone to give them that nudge to get them going. I love being the motivator. Where I'm at with mine I don't need a push- everyone and anybody can feed off of my energy. I am poised and ready for whatever (by the way, I'm ALWAYS looking for production- beats, beats, and more BEATS!!). So lay back and sit tight as I take you on this journey of mine because I know you will be able to relate to me and feel me. For those who already know me, HERE I AM AND HERE I COME.
