Damage is a post-hardcore band from Oshawa, Ontario. The band was originally formed May 16th, 2008 by Andi Cee and Brandy Fortey, but didn't reach its permenant incarnation until October 2008.
The band is a continuing project that started in 2007, but has had constant member changes and very bad luck with guitarists. The project was initially started by Andi when his former band broke up; He moved back to Oshawa to start something new. Collaborating with former band mate Brandy, the duo recruited many other members before taking a brief hiatus in March.
After many attempts to revive the project, the two began to give up hope, and have gone through many different musicians in the band. Damage's lineup began to flourish in July of 2008, where the project saw its first full lineup, but shortly fell apart due to the lack of motivation between members. In August of 2008, Damage moved in with an other local band, When Phrygia Fell. Former Drummer of When Phrygia Fell, Jesse Mole became a member of Damage soon after. During this time, Vocalist Andi Cee decided the band would progress faster with Guitar rather than Vocals, and switched to Rhythm Guitar.
The trio wrote songs that would later transform into the songs played this current day, but with a more progressive edge. Shortly after Jesse's entry into the band, Lead Guitarist of When Phrygia Fell, Justin Deschenes joined the trio, taking the sound of Damage to a more technical level. During the writing of the bands first EP, Drummer Jesse Mole was kicked out due to personal reasons, and a replacement is being searched for at this time.center
The sound of Damage has changed considerably since its beginning, and is now incorperating elements of Progressive Metal, Hardcore and Thrash. Since the beginning of 2009, Damage was put on hiatus by Guitarist/Vocalist Andi Cee, so the members of the band could persue different projects, and sharpen their skills for future Damage related endeavours.
